Food, Culinary and Lifestyle Education Programme — with Live Practice

Six months to learn to nourish yourself independently: the science of nutrition, cooking techniques, organising your week and everything around the table, supported by a better lifestyle: stress management, sleep, social relationships and movement.

Overview

Almost everyone arrives with a precise goal: to lose weight, to feel better, to get back on track, or to manage a medical condition better. This is why the programme starts exactly there: a complete assessment, with a medical doctor present, an eating plan and a written report to face the path ahead of you.

But knowing what to eat is not enough. What is missing, almost always, is the time, the practical skill and the organisation to actually do it. This programme works exactly there: every month we meet in the kitchen, half an hour to understand the why, two hours to learn the how, and every month we meet one-to-one to talk about you.

And then there is everything around the table that decides how well we really eat: how much we move, how much we sleep, how much stress we bring to dinner, which risks we can reduce with simple choices. This is why, alongside nutrition and cooking, there are an exercise professional, a psychologist and a medical doctor.

The lessons take place in Live in Kitchen: everything live, nothing recorded. 100% online but live: cooking, movement, psychological support, the valuable presence of a medical doctor. We meet twice a month, in the comfort of your own home: in the kitchen for Live in Kitchen, and for the monthly conversation wherever you like, as long as it is a calm place away from distractions.

A team, not a single professional

Marilena Cutino
food, nutrition, cooking and organisation: leads the programme
A medical doctor
takes part in the initial complete assessment and gives an opinion on general health status
Chef Francesco Cutino
Culinary Developer for Qatar Airways: takes part in the first meeting, on kitchen spaces and management, and in the session on handling and cooking fish and proteins
A psychologist
one conversation included: your relationship with food, stress management and sleep
An exercise professional
leads the weekly physical activity appointment, live, for the whole six months

How it works

  1. 1.

To begin: the Complete Consultation. Within a programme, only the first meeting is needed: there is no point repeating the whole assessment, because from then on we start a project together. A seven-day food diary and questionnaire to send five to seven days beforehand; a first 90-minute meeting with the participation of a medical doctor; a written report with an interpretation of what emerged and the eating plan.

  2. 2.

Every month: Live in Kitchen, between cooking and theory. Once a month, including on Saturdays, two and a half or three hours: thirty minutes on the topic of the day and the scientific background on food and nutrition, then we start cooking. Theory does not stop when the hob is switched on: it runs right through it.

  3. 3.

Every month: one-to-one meeting online. Forty-five minutes dedicated to you: how it is going, what works, what needs adapting, your questions.

  4. 4.

Every week: forty-five minutes of physical activity, live. Same day, same time, for the whole six months, with an exercise professional. You join from home and do it, together. Because telling someone to join a gym does not work: having a fixed appointment in the calendar does.

  5. 5.

Whenever you want: the conversation with a psychologist. Our relationship with food also depends on how we are: hunger that arrives under pressure, meals eaten in a rush, food used to compensate. Stress management and sleep are also discussed. You book it yourself, whenever you wish.

  6. 6.

At the end: final assessment. A review meeting in which parameters and, above all, the skills acquired are reassessed. Because a successful programme is not one that achieves a temporary result, but one that leaves you more skilled and more confident than you were at the start.

  7. 7.

Afterwards: two follow-up meetings. One month and three months after the end, to consolidate what you have built.

The thread of the programme

The goal is not to follow someone else's recipes, but to no longer need them. Here we do not carry out recipes: you learn the tools to cook the food groups and turn them into the dishes you prefer, your way, as you and your family like them.
